La Raza are delighted to welcome back Cambridge music scholar, singer, composer and generally wonderful songstress Sara Mitra, with a beautiful quartet!

 

A Time Out ‘Critics Choice’ live act, Sara Mitra’s music forges an original, alternative sound at the junction of folk, jazz and country blues.

 

For this gig Sara is joined by an amazing band featuring long-time collaborators, and some of the most exciting players on the London scene, to support the release of her second album Losing You on Impossible Ark Records (only 13 vinyl left!); recorded using vintage tape technology.

 

The music has already garnered significant airplay across the jazz/soul/alternative network, featuring on Jamie Cullum for BBC Radio 2, Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 6 Music show and Dom Servini’s award-winning Wah Wah 45’s monthly broadcast.
