JULIAN JOSEPH TRIO
Mumford Theatre
£10 (£7.50 Concessions/£5 Anglia Ruskin Students)

Julian Joseph brings his trio to the Mumford Theatre as part of the Cambridge Jazz Festival. Hailed as one of the finest pianists to emerge this side of the Atlantic, for over two decades Julian has been a towering figure in contemporary jazz. A prodigious composer and arranger, an admired and respected bandleader, an inspirational collaborator and educator, and a highly knowledgeable and engaging broadcaster he is, essentially, a true champion of the music.

Joseph studied at Berklee College of Music before emerging on the UK jazz scene with his extraordinary debut album The Language of Truth in 1991 demonstrating his original voice as a pianist and composer. As well as four albums and a mass of original material for big band, Julian's diverse musical output includes large-scale works for big band and orchestra and jazz opera.
