Cambridge Modern Jazz, Hidden Rooms

 

Sophisticated and swinging instrumental jazz and fresh takes on timeless soul favourites from a classic combo of trumpet/flugelhorn, guitar and bass, Highwalk brings together some of London’s leading young jazz talent. They will be performing at the reception for the opening night of the Cambridge Jazz Festival at Cambridge Moden Jazz, Hidden Rooms with the New York Standards Quartet.

 

James, Ed and Mike met in 2014 whilst postgraduates at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and quickly found a musical affinity with one another, performing widely for events around London. Their sound ranges from the delicately intimate to the infectiously groovy, always with an emphasis on quality songs from artists as varied as John Schofield, Brad Mehldau and Beyoncé.
