Mingusology is a powerful 8-piece Cambridge-based band led by Martin Kemp, dedicated to playing the music of Charles Mingus, the explosive bass player, bandleader and composer.
A challenging and innovative presence, he surrounded himself with great musicians and produced a large number of outstanding albums, mostly featuring his own distinctive tunes. Over 30 years after his death his music still inspires jazz players throughout the world. 'Viva Mingus!'
