Cambridge based, seven-piece, jazz, neo-soul and funk band, Mode9 is led by composer, arranger and vocalist Ollie Lepage-Dean and mixes smooth melodies with the most unique harmonies and a slick, fiery horn section (arrangements by James Brady Music).

Performing mostly original arrangements, influences on the band include Erykah Badu, Esperanza Spalding and Jamie Cullum, and as well as hearing some of the best original writing around, audiences can also be treated to some popular favourites heard in astonishingly fresh and exciting arrangements including Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.

The band have recently returned from the recording studio and their debut album, On Standby will be released shortly. Performing regularly in Cambridge for a variety of jazz nights and private functions, future plans for the group include a return tour to Brussels following great success in late 2013 and a tour to Northern England. They recently also played at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2016.
