Grammy award winning Bill Laurance (Snarky Puppy) and his UK all-star line up will be providing a masterclass for all ages with Grade 4+. They'll be covering their approach to composition, harmony and improvisation.

‘The natural evolution of contemporary instrumental music. Flawless’ (criticaljazz.com)

‘No doubting Laurance’s creativity as a very unusual kind of world musician’ (The Guardian)

Bill Laurance's latest album is Aftersun, a tribute to space exploration and life in the cosmos.

The music is filtered down to its roots in a stunning quartet that features Richard Spaven on drums, Chris Hyson on bass and Felix Higginbottom on percussion.

World class drummer Richard Spaven has worked with Jose James, Flying Lotus, The Cinematic Orchestra, Incognito, Guru's Jazzamatazz, and Gregory Porter.

Highly regarded Percussionist Felix Higginbottom, founder of Hans Pryer, has toured the world at the age of only 24, with Incognito and Snarky Puppy members Robert Sput Searight and Nate Worth in the band Ghost note.

Award winning, bassist, composer and producer Chris Hyson has played with musicians from all over the world,  Josh Arcoleo (Joss Stone) and Jason Rebello (Sting). While studying at The Royal Academy of Music, he collaborated with award winning vocalist Lauren Kinsella and co-founded Snowpoet, also playing at the festival on Sat Nov 26th.

With flavours of dance music and African percussion, this latest album combines deep world grooves with Laurance’s signature genre-bending exploration.
