TALK: Sandy Burnett 'The Age of Jazz in New Orleans and Beyond'
Drawing on his practical experience both as musicologist and gigging musician, Sandy Burnett illustrates the disparate influences which lay behind the very beginnings of jazz in New Orleans and beyond, with musical illustrations ranging from the blues, ragtime and the very earliest jazz recordings through to a classic side cut by Louis Armstrong’s Hot Five in 1926.

There will be a live Q&A with Sandy Burnett immediately after his talk.
