Native Dancer
“A refreshing burst of imagination, uniqueness, and purpose in a crowded electro-fusion landscape.” AFROPUNK
“The new troubadours of psychedelic soul.” STAMP THE WAX

The core sound of Native Dancer is based on elements of jazz, R&B and hip-hop, while also referencing some more psychedelic feels illustrated in their first two EP’s.

Now with the addition of Miles James’ production and recording techniques (Yussef Dayes / Tom Misch / Michael Kiwanuka), plus Ben Baptie’s mixes (Lianne La Havas / Moses Sumney), the band’s sound has evolved into a grander world. With each musician’s performance brought to life, together they form the three core structures of the band’s identity; jazz, modern production and song-writing.

Frida once said, albeit slightly in jest, that “Native Dancer are like the moody love-child of Weather Report and Beyonce”. Upon reflection, this off the cuff statement really rings true.

This is a pre-recorded concert live at the Cambridge Junction.
