Three Step Manoeuvre came together through a shared love of the classic organ trio line-up, and the music of funk pioneers like James Brown and The Meters, jazz legends such as Jimmy Smith and John Scofield, and modern groups including Lettuce and Soulive.

​They released their debut EP in 2014, and have since performed all over the UK, with gigs including the renowned Cheltenham Jazz Festival where they played on the same bill as Gregory Porter, as well as an amazing residency at the much-missed Yardbird in Birmingham.

​November 2016 saw the release of our first full album, Three Step Strut.  Featuring special guests Gareth Lockrane on flute and Cherise Adams-Burnett on vocals, it perfectly sums up our approach to funk music - grounded in the old-school sound we love, but fresh, fun and accessible to audiences everywhere.
