Be inspired by Strictly Come Dancing and learn to Swing Dance with the Cambridge Lindy Hoppers and then come and party like it's 1947 at both the Big Band Bonanza and the Gyspy Jazz Jamboree!

 

Swing is the umbrella name for various dances: the Charleston, the Balboa, Solo Jazz as well as the core staple of swing the Lindy Hop (aka the Jitterbug).

 

Lindy Hop is a fun and expressive dance which originated in the 1920’s & 30’s. It can be danced at a variety of tempos and energies, making it suitable for people of all ages and walks of life. 

 

Suitable for absolute beginners and please bring a comfortable pair of shoes.

The dance workshops are on the same days as both the Big Band Bonanza: London Gay Big Band and Gyspy Jazz Jamboree: Robin Nolan Trio  - two chances to practice your new swing dance moves to live music!
