You'll hear everything from funk to reggae and everything in between.

CORES DO SAMBA (1500-1615)

Cores do Samba are a Brazilian music band led by Brazilian singer Caru Lins. The group explores the infectious, highly rhythmic, and uplifting music from Brazil with a particularly focus on the ’MPB’ style (Musica Popular Brasileira).

The repertoire includes a mix of samba, bossa nova, and funk, including songs by Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, João Donato, Tom Jobim, Baden Powell, Djavan, Joyce, Tania Maria, Ivan Lins.  This performance will  feature British legend Les Cirkel on drums, and special guest Newton Peres on percussion.

VIVA LA TRADICIÓN (1630-1745)

On a mission to keep the musical legacy of New York-style salsa dura alive, this 12-piece band of percussionists, instrumentalists and vocalists comes at you full on with the authentic sounds and rhythms of merengue, salsa, and cha-cha-cha. Viva La Tradición are passionate about Latin music in general, recreating tunes by Poncho Sanchez, Oscar Hernández, Celia Cruz and Ray Barretto amongst others, as well as performing original arrangements from members of the band. Come and hear the authentic music of the barrio and get on the dance floor!
